Christopher Gabriel

It all started in a small apartment on the North Side of Chicago next to an L train near Wrigley Field. Some years later Christopher was a classically trained stage actor performing in the U.S. and U.K. with individuals like James Earl Jones and Julie Harris. And now for the past 13 years, behind a mic in a studio as a sports talk host.

When CG’s program was in Fargo, the city not the movie, it was nominated in 2012, 2013 and 2014 for Best Radio Show in the Red River Valley by the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. In 2013 he was privileged to be named Best Local Celebrity. The award was an acknowledgement of his work in the community, partnering with organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities, Make-A-Wish and the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center (RACC) of Fargo-Moorhead. In 2015, CG received RACC's annual Helping to Heal the Hurt of Personal Violence Award. Shortly thereafter the program moved to PowerTalk 96.7/AM 1400 in Fresno, California continuing his curious desire to work in cities with extreme weather.

Then in August of 2017, CG joined 940 ESPN Radio as afternoon drive host, co-host of Game Day Live and host of the Halftime Scoreboard for Fresno State Football.

Over the years the CGP has delivered daily live reports from the Olympics in PyeongChang, Sochi, London and Vancouver, traveled around the nation broadcasting from NCAA tournaments and championship games in football, hockey and basketball, and covered North Dakota State, North Dakota, Minnesota, Fresno State and the pro teams in the Bay Area and the Twin Cities.

Program guests have included professional and college coaches and athletes, Olympic medalists, Pulitzer Prize, Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award winners, U.N. Ambassadors members of the U.S. Senate and House, New York Times bestselling authors and journalists/broadcasters from ESPN, Fox Sports, AP, BBC, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Star Tribune, Detroit Free Press, Boston Globe, Arizona Republic and Fresno Bee.

Whether discussing sports, pop culture, music, movies or stories slightly off the radar, delivering depth, humor and a thoughtful perspective are the daily benchmarks.
